From the Principal

Greetings,

My name is Dr. Rafael Silva and I am the principal here at Sterling B. Martin Special Emphasis Middle School SES.

I would like to welcome everyone to a new 2011-2012 school year. The teachers and staff at Sterling B. Martin Special Emphasis Middle School are ready to meet and greet our students on August 22, 2011. Our dedicated teachers and staff at Martin are great leaders in their classrooms and go over and beyond to ensure that our students are successful. One of our priorities here at Martin Middle School is to engage students in learning, develop strong parental relations, and create a partnership with our professionals within our community. Martin Middle School's vision is that of cultivating rigor, relevance and establishing relationships. All staff, parents and community members working together promote this vision to help ensure the success of all students.

Our staff works collaboratively in vertical learning communities to ensure that all students learn. Martin MS promotes a culture of collaboration and a focus on student results to help plan appropriate differentiated instruction for all of our diverse learners. All teachers and staff have made a commitment to ensure the success of each student.

Please navigate through our website and view the great things happening at Sterling B. Martin Special Emphasis Middle School.

Sincerely,

Rafael Silva Ed.D.
